Dan has enjoyed a rich and varied career whilst gaining experience across Europe and Australia as part of globally distributed teams, in addition to delivering solo projects for niche clients.

His career began as a university intern performance analyst with HSBC where he delivered bespoke software solutions across multiple call centre sites within the UK and Asia. His talent was quickly recognised and he was promoted into the bank's Group IT function as a frontend design analyst.

From here his journey really began as he freelanced across Europe and Australia, initially as a technical analyst before finding his passion in data with roles ranging from database design to business intelligence, whilst specialising in all things SQL, optimisation and reporting tools.

The pandemic served as the perfect platform to return to university and future proof his career by studying Artificial Intelligence with a speciality in Computer Vision. Dan graduated with a distinction and a research contract for a defence project with the University of Stirling. Furthermore, he was able to take his Data Science and Artificial Intelligence skills to a new level by developing an innovative dissertation project which saw him finish as runner-up in the Research Prize within the faculty of Mathematics & Computer Science, he developed an exciting proof of concept virtual assistant to assist blind people in locating objects utilising NLP and Computer Vision techniques.
